Business Development Sales Executive – Europe, SWA & Africa
- Location: Europe (UK, Germany, Italy, or other major hub)
- Reports To: CEO
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven Business Development Sales Executive to lead growth efforts across Europe, Southwest Asia (SWA), and Africa. The role will initially focus on expanding AOC Connect’s presence within DISA, DoD, and NATO programs, while strategically pursuing new opportunities in commercial and enterprise markets as the region matures. This position offers the chance to shape AOC Connect’s long-term regional strategy, develop key partnerships, and drive revenue growth in diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business strategies for growth across Europe, SWA, and Africa.
- Build and manage relationships with DISA, DoD, NATO, and allied organizations.
- Identify and capture new opportunities in government, defense, and commercial sectors.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification to contract close.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Represent AOC Connect at regional meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of business development or sales experience; government/defense
communications background strongly preferred. - Proven success developing new markets and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally (up to 50%).
Preferred
- Experience with DISA, DoD, NATO, or similar organizations.
- Existing regional network and multilingual capabilities (English required; French, Arabic, or German a plus).
Network Engineer – Transport Testing Support
Position Overview
AOC Connect is seeking a Network Engineer to support the testing, validation, troubleshooting, and acceptance of carrier-provided Ethernet and optical transport services supporting Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This position serves as the technical lead for circuit activation and acceptance activities, ensuring services meet DISA, customer, and contractual performance requirements.
The successful candidate will provide technical oversight for RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564, ITU-T M.2101, BERT, and optical transport testing activities; analyze test results; troubleshoot complex service issues; and coordinate with carriers, customers, and third-party field service providers throughout the service delivery lifecycle.
While this position may occasionally support broader network engineering initiatives, the primary focus is transport services validation, circuit acceptance, and technical leadership of testing activities involving Ethernet, MPLS, and optical wavelength services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for circuit activation, testing, validation, and acceptance activities.
- Analyze and validate RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564, BERT, throughput, latency, frame loss, and optical test results.
- Coordinate with DISA, carriers, customers, and third-party smart-hands providers during service activations and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide technical direction to remote field technicians performing testing activities using Viavi TB6000A test equipment.
- Review and approve carrier test reports and acceptance documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex Ethernet, MPLS, and optical transport service issues.
- Develop and maintain testing procedures, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Validate service configurations and performance against customer requirements and DISA acceptance standards.
- Support activations and modifications of EPL, EVPL, DIA, MPLS, and optical wavelength services.
- Collaborate with Network Operations, Cybersecurity, Program Management, and service providers to resolve technical issues and support successful service delivery.
- Support quality assurance reviews, root cause analysis, and performance reporting activities.
- Provide technical expertise for data center, carrier hotel, and colocation facility connectivity projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Network Engineering. Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of network engineering or telecommunications experience, with experience supporting transport services, carrier Ethernet.
- Experience supporting Ethernet and optical transport service testing and acceptance activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
- DoD Secret Eligible.
Technical Skills
- Experience with RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564, ITU-T M.2101, and BERT testing methodologies supporting Ethernet, MPLS, WAN PHY, SONET/SDH, and OTN (OTU2/OTU4) transport services.
- Subject matter expertise interpreting test results generated by Viavi TB6000A or equivalent carrier-grade test platforms.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet technologies, VLAN services, MTU considerations, and WAN architectures.
- Experience troubleshooting transport and carrier Ethernet services.
- Familiarity with Cisco and/or Juniper routing and switching platforms.
- Experience working within carrier, data center, colocation, or government network environments.
Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DISA provisioning, testing, acceptance, and service activation procedures.
- Experience directing third-party smart-hands providers during testing and activation activities.
- Experience supporting federal government customers; DOD environments preferred.
- Background in fiber optic transport, optical networking, or telecommunications field operations.
- Experience with optical light-level analysis and fiber troubleshooting.
- CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider, JNCIP, MEF Carrier Ethernet, or equivalent certifications.

Network Test Specialist – Circuit Acceptance & Validation
Position Overview
AOC Connect is seeking a Network Test Specialist to support the testing, validation, and acceptance of Ethernet transport services supporting government and commercial customers. This position serves as the primary coordinator and subject matter expert for circuit acceptance testing activities, ensuring carrier-delivered services meet customer performance and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will lead test bridges involving carriers, customer representatives, and third-party field service providers. While this position does not routinely operate test equipment in the field, the candidate must possess strong expertise in Ethernet service testing methodologies and be capable of directing remote technicians performing testing activities using Viavi TB6000A test platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Ethernet transport testing activities within carrier, fiber optic, or data center environments and possess the technical expertise to direct remote field technicians during circuit activation and acceptance testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead circuit acceptance testing activities for EPL, DIA, and Optical Wave services.
- Serve as the primary technical lead during test bridges involving carriers, customers, and third-party smart-hands providers.
- Direct remote field technicians perform RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564, ITU-T M.2101 and BERT testing using Viavi TB6000A test equipment.
- Review and validate carrier and field-generated test reports to ensure compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
- Analyze throughput, latency, frame loss, jitter, and service performance results.
- Troubleshoot failed test results and coordinate corrective actions with carriers and field personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate end-to-end testing activities across multiple organizations and locations.
- Coordinate with data center personnel, carrier technicians, and third-party smart-hands providers to facilitate circuit installations, testing, and service activations.
- Maintain testing documentation, acceptance records, and customer deliverables.
- Support service activations, upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide technical guidance regarding Ethernet service testing methodologies and best practices.
- Support quality assurance reviews and acceptance of carrier-delivered services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of telecommunications, carrier services, transport networking, or circuit testing experience.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet transport services including EPL, DIA, Optical Wave, carrier Ethernet, WAN PHY, SONET/SDH, and OTN (OTU2/OTU4) services.
- Experience with RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564, ITU-T M.2101, and BERT testing methodologies, including interpretation and validation of carrier test reports, service acceptance documentation, and optical test results.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet and transport performance metrics including throughput, latency, frame loss, jitter, MTU, VLAN services, and optical transport performance.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across carriers, customers, data centers, and third-party field service providers.
- Ability to provide technical direction to remote testing personnel and troubleshoot transport, Ethernet, optical, and carrier network services.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience coordinating activities with remote smart-hands providers, structured cabling technicians, and local site support personnel.
- CompTIA Network+, or equivalent industry certification.
- Ability to Obtain DoD Secret Clearance
